This was my second stay, and it’s still a wonderful Ryokan. As soon as you enter the Room, you’re greeted by the sea of Munakata. You can hear the waves too—it’s truly soothing. That alone filled my heart.\n\nThe public bath that eases a tired body felt authentic and nostalgic, yet it was incredibly clean. You can even see the ocean from there.\n\nAfterward, the coffee milk at the community hall bar was amazing. Dinner with local fish was pure bliss, and for breakfast, the wakame seaweed shabu-shabu was outstanding. I enjoyed everything to the fullest.\n\nThe staff were also kind, with a lovely warm atmosphere.

It was my first trip to Shiga, and everything was perfect. The view from the Hotel and the Room were amazing. In one (or two) words: "Comfortable" and "Impressive." Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I found an available weekend slot at the end of last year and made a Reservation. After checking in, I relaxed for a while in the lounge with a flowing stream, enjoying a welcome drink. My Room was a Japanese-style room in the Kyushinkan wing, and it was comfortably spacious enough. The toilet was small, which reminded me of the building’s age—but that’s part of its charm. Dinner was a mini kaiseki set plus a half buffet, and everything was delicious. As it’s an Itoen Hotels property, alcoholic drinks were also all-you-can-drink—so I ended up happily tipsy. The bath was the large public Onsen on the first floor. The water had a smooth, silky feel that I really liked. It was also nice that the men’s and women’s baths switch between morning and evening. Breakfast was a buffet as well—simple and tasty. If my schedule allows, I’d love to visit Kamisuwa Onsen again. Thank you very much to all the Hotel staff.

I stay here often. Although it faces Route 58, the Room overlooks the ocean and is quiet. It’s conveniently located for getting anywhere. The front desk staff are kind, and they also offer happy hour in the evening. I’d like to stay again.

I was looking for an Accommodation in places like Obama and Tsuruga to enjoy Wakasa fugu. Many places didn’t have great Review ratings, so I was a bit worried, but I made a Reservation at “Shikisai no Yado Hanatsubaki” because it was highly rated. From the outside, it isn’t a new-looking place, but the inside was very clean, and it was quiet and relaxing—perhaps because it wasn’t too crowded. The Room we were shown to was a Japanese-style room, and I still remember how moved I felt by the view of Wakasa Bay from the window. We could enjoy the same view from the large public bath on the top floor. Dinner was a full fugu course as mentioned above—from appetizers to finishing rice porridge—and everything was delicious. The only disappointment was that although the staff carefully brought each dish, there was no explanation at all about what each dish was or how to eat it. Since many people from Tokyo don’t often eat fugu, we may not know much about it. If they had explained the dish names and how to enjoy them, I think we could have appreciated it even more. That said, we truly enjoyed the fugu and were very satisfied. Breakfast also featured local items such as dried flatfish, which were delicious as well. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful Ryokan. I would definitely like to return. Thank you for such a great memory.

We stayed on the Anniversary Plan, and I can’t fully put into words how enjoyable and memorable our stay was. We are truly grateful. The shuttle bus from Kyoto Station made access extremely convenient. We used the revolving observation restaurant “TOP OF KYOTO” for both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, we were delighted by your thoughtful touches—an anniversary photo, a single rose as a gift, a message on the dessert plate, and even a whole cake. Every dish featuring plenty of Kyoto vegetables was delicious, and we enjoyed a luxurious time watching the ever-changing views of Kyoto from the gently rotating dining room. The cityscape wrapped in soft morning light and the fantastical Kyoto floating in the sparkling night view—being able to enjoy both was especially memorable. The pool and sauna available as part of our 10th-floor Room benefits were also wonderful, and we were moved by how carefully your staff responded during a small unexpected incident. I’m not very confident at swimming, but this inspired me to join a swimming club so that next time I can return able to swim properly. After dinner, we had cocktails at the bar; everything—the interior design, lighting, atmosphere, and service—was comfortable, as if luxurious time for adults flowed by slowly. Wherever we were in the Hotel, we felt a sense of security and elegance—and above all, your staff’s politeness and warmth. It truly felt like a first-class Hotel. Thank you very much for making our special day such an amazing memory. We would love to stay again.

Close to Nagoya, with excellent dinner and breakfast. Great value for money and perfect for unwinding after work. I’ll do my best so I can visit again.

The food was very delicious, and the staff at reception and serving were kind, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay comfortably. The lobby was clean, and we could enjoy beautiful sunsets. Within a 5-minute walk, we could also enjoy tide-pooling and fishing. We would love to us

The sense of scale of the ocean beyond the windbreak forest right in front of us was incredible. At night, we could see a sky full of stars and even shooting stars from the rooftop. The Room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. We also appreciated the eco-friendly approach and how it felt in harmony with nature—not overly designed—which made it easy to truly relax. The meals were delicious, and the pajamas were very comfortable too.

The Room was clean and very nice overall. However, our main goal was to spend a long time enjoying the swimsuit-friendly pool and Onsen within the same Facility, but there is no place inside where you can eat or drink while staying in your swimsuit. As a result, we had to change clothes for lunch, and then put our wet swimsuits back on when returning, which was quite inconvenient. Since this concerns the same Facility, I have included it here, but the Accommodation itself was excellent in both service and amenities. Thank you for your hospitality.

I stayed here for the first time to support a baseball training camp. This Hotel has a clear focus on boosting immunity, and the meals were delicious—perfect for gut health. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and I was very satisfied. I will definitely stay again. The building does show its age in places, but the layout is roomy and it has been renovated, so it didn’t bother me. Access is basically by car only, so I would appreciate a Shuttle Service from the nearest station or bus stop.

I stayed last year (2024) as well, but this time I stayed when attending the N Dinner Show hosted by Okayama International Hotel. The food served at the dinner show was incredibly delicious. Both the presentation of the dishes and the tableware were impeccable and wonderful. It made me want to take some time later to visit the hotel's restaurant just for lunch. The hotel has a calm atmosphere with a retro feel, allowing me to relax both physically and mentally. Thank you very much for accommodating my request for a room on an upper floor; the view of Okayama city was absolutely stunning. I am looking forward to next year's (2026) 6th N Dinner Show hosted by Okayama International Hotel. This time, I fully enjoyed a meaningful and wonderful hotel stay. This was our first stay in a Room with a private open-air bath. The Room was spacious and had a wonderful ocean view, and we truly enjoyed our stay. If we had one small request, my wife mentioned it would have been perfect if the glass windows were a bit cleaner. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. We plan to stay again.

I was happy to enjoy so many dishes that truly felt like spring. The clear soup was especially wonderful, with cherry blossom petals, bamboo shoots, and aonori seaweed. The Gamagori-limited mikan sour was also delicious! The Room was clean. Just one point: These days most people are used to automatic doors, so many guests do not close the bath door tightly. It gets cold. They don’t seem to mind leaving it open, so I think a sign saying “Manual” is needed. We could also enjoy the drinks and rice crackers in the lobby—excellent service. It was an even nicer Hotel than I expected. There is a temple within walking distance, and we were able to see cherry blossoms too, making it a fun trip. Thank you very much.

Although I had booked a lower-floor (basement) Plan, they upgraded me to the second floor. The Room was clean and spacious, and I was satisfied with the view. The dining area was not crowded, so I could enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The selection is simple, but considering the price, it felt reasonable.

This was my second stay. I chose the plan for guests aged 50 and over, which included spiny lobster, abalone, and golden eye snapper. The meals were so delicious that I decided to return. Both the fish-focused dinner and the breakfast featuring spiny lobster miso soup and grilled horse mackerel were satisfying and filling. However, there were two things I found a bit disappointing this time. First, there was noise after 11:30 PM. It seemed to come from upstairs, possibly due to cleaning in the bath area. Other than that, it was very quiet, so the noise at night surprised me. Second, while they were preparing my futon bed, my coffee cup was taken away even though I had been using it. When I wanted to drink coffee later on but couldn’t find the cup anymore, it left me feeling disappointed. The staff serving breakfast were very pleasant and made for a nice departure experience overall. Since Awa-Kominato is one of my favorite places, I'll probably visit again in the future. Even if accommodations are not large-scale establishments, I'd like to choose based on their unique qualities each time!
