I stayed here to photograph Diamond Fuji. The staff were kind and shared a lot of helpful information. The rates were reasonable, and I was able to stay comfortably with everything I needed. For me, this was my last Accommodation.

I stayed here for one night during a touring trip. It doesn’t have Hotel-style facilities, but it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I could park my large motorcycle right near the door, making it easy to carry my luggage. The Room is separated into a living area (with a large TV) and a bedroom—far more space than I needed for a solo stay. There’s only a shower (no bathtub), but there’s an Onsen day-use bath just a 1-minute walk away. (I just used the shower; bring your own towel!) The sunset over the sea right in front was incredibly beautiful, and I could even see Mt. Fuji. At the izakaya on the same property, I enjoyed drinks and dinner at the counter while chatting with the owner about sake—an excellent time all around. I was surprised to have such a comfortable stay for about half the price of a basic Business Hotel. There’s also a convenience store about a 5–6 minute walk away. This is an Accommodation I’d definitely like to visit again.

This is a beautifully maintained private villa available for exclusive rental. If you were to book a Room at a Hotel, it would probably be comparable to a suite. If you’re fine cooking for yourself, picking up food, or eating out, it’s more affordable and more comfortable than a Hotel. The pool was large and clean, and the kids really enjoyed it. There were also swim rings, children’s arm floaties, and life jackets. The automatic mahjong table made us laugh. Basic seasonings were provided as well, which was very helpful. You can see the ocean, so it definitely feels like a resort. I’ve already recommended it to friends, and I’d like to consider renting again when I have the chance.

It was my first time visiting Oki Island and trying glamping, and everything exceeded my expectations—it was truly an amazing experience. Enjoying a BBQ while watching the beautiful sunset was unforgettable, with melt-in-your-mouth Oki beef that had a rich flavor, large oysters raised in Oki, and exceptionally delicious onions from the region. In the morning, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and waves crashing, cherishing the peaceful moment of sipping coffee while watching the sunrise. Although it was my first glamping experience, everything—from inside the tent to water facilities, showers, and toilets—was very clean and convenient. Even as someone who isn’t fond of camping, I found it incredibly comfortable. The staff were always smiling warmly when greeting us but maintained just the right amount of distance for a pleasant stay. Thanks to them, we enjoyed two very relaxing nights here. I would love to visit again!

The Room was spacious, and the kitchen was also large enough and very clean. Most tableware and utensils were provided, so we hardly needed to bring anything. The refrigerator had 2L of water and seasonings (salt, pepper, sauce, soy sauce), which we were able to use. About 30 minutes to an hour after checkout, a staff member called to let us know we had left something behind. Since it was difficult for us to return, they arranged to mail it to us. We truly appreciate their prompt and courteous assistance. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity!

We stayed here as our accommodation for a two-day trip to Tateyama. We enjoyed plenty of fresh seafood from Tateyama while using the terrace barbecue grill, all with a stunning view of the ocean right in front of us. The interior was very clean, and it was fully equipped with tableware and amenities, even featuring a luxurious sauna. There were four of us staying, but since it's a three-story building with ample space, it could easily accommodate larger groups as well.

This was our first overnight trip as a family after childbirth, so we chose this private accommodation considering factors like crying. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to cloudy weather, but the room was beautifully renovated and incredibly spacious for just the three of us. We would love to stay here again next time with our parents included.

I visited in early spring and early summer before, but this was my first time staying during midsummer. Despite expecting large crowds, the Hotel staff's prompt responses and thoughtful care allowed me to enjoy a relaxing stay without any issues. The beach was relatively crowded, but I could leisurely enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the morning or evening. The restaurant service and meal quality were consistently excellent, offering a wide variety of Japanese-Western fusion dishes that changed daily. The marine services were also well-equipped, allowing me to enjoy various sports within the Hotel premises. I would definitely like to visit again!

I was able to relax and rest well. The breakfast was delicious, and it even included sashimi.

The room was spacious and clean. The dog run was also great. The meals were delicious, and both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. A taxi is necessary to get to Gora Station, so we recommend making a reservation in advance. The staff were kind and attentive, which was wonderful. Thank you very much!

I booked because of the visual appeal of the Seiko crab dinner, but the breakfast was so delicious that I couldn't help having a second serving of rice. Since it is located by the seaside, you can enjoy an unlimited view of the ocean from your Room.

We stayed as a couple with our large dog. There were two bedrooms, and the Rooms were very clean and lovely. The meals were excellent! The drinks in the refrigerator, including alcohol, were all-you-can-drink, and there was more than we could finish—we were completely full.

We went on a four-generation family trip. Everyone was happy, and we’d love to come again. My 9-year-old son said the udon-making experience was the best (haha).

The other day, I had my annual “crab day” at Genmyoan again. This time they prepared Taiza crab for me, and I was able to enjoy it. It was three hours of satisfaction—satisfied, satisfied, truly satisfied. They do not serve hot pot dishes like “crab suki” here, and I agree that turning such great crab into a hot pot would be a waste. That is exactly why I keep choosing Genmyoan. They said it snowed quite a bit this year, but on my visit there was only a little snow left along the roadside. Genmyoan sits halfway up the mountain, and I believe it may be the only place with this kind of view looking down over Amanohashidate. The location is outstanding. As shown in the photos, being able to enjoy scenery that changes with time from your Room is very appealing. On the other hand, when it snows heavily, driving up the mountain road can be difficult. When I asked the proprietress this time, she told me that during severe snow they will come to pick guests up at Amanohashidate Station with rubber boots in the car. Being able to change into them at the station would be reassuring. (They provide Shuttle Service to the Accommodation regardless of snow.) Also, once you are past 70—even if it’s a once-a-year indulgent crab day—you may worry about not being able to finish everything. It seems they can adjust portions if you request in advance. If they can reduce the amount without compromising quality, you can keep enjoying it at any age. Because this relates to IKYU’s website meal listings and pricing, I do wonder how flexible such arrangements can be—but I would appreciate continued consideration for guests’ convenience. Lastly, their breakfast is also delicious: even when you feel you ate too much crab dinner-wise, you still end up overeating at breakfast. The Onsen has been refurbished and is clean. There is a tasting corner for chilled sake (you can sample and choose before dinner), and there is now a coffee room as well. There is also a room lined with CDs/DVDs/books from the owner’s personal collection; you can bring them back to your Room and enjoy them there. It feels like an Accommodation where each guest can find their own way to relax and have fun.

The room was neither too spacious nor too small, just the right size for two adults. The room was also clean (though I noticed a long hair on the robe, which concerned me slightly). The bath was an open-air one, and while there were houses a bit further away that made me wonder if they could see in, there were adjustable automatic shutters. When fully lowered, they completely blocked the view from outside and kept out the cold air. Despite snow remaining from the previous day, we could enjoy a warm soak without feeling chilly. The temperature of the bath was just right for relaxing. Concerns: We chose a plan with in-room dining for our meals. However, after grilling meat during dinner, its smell lingered throughout the room until bedtime. While it might have been our oversight as well, future guests opting for this plan might want to keep their bedroom doors closed during meals to avoid this issue. It would be considerate if staff could mention this when serving meals or perhaps provide additional amenities like room sprays alongside air purifiers to enhance comfort further. That said, the meat was tender and delicious; other dishes were also very tasty with portions that felt just right. With free beer dispensers, ice cream machines, drinks in the fridge available at no extra cost, and even foot baths provided—this is overall a wonderful accommodation! Next time I’d love to visit again with my mother. Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed as a family of four in a Room with an open-air bath. The bath is not an Onsen, but being able to soak and relax at any time was exactly what we wanted, so choosing this Room was the right decision! The changing area has air conditioning, so it was nice not having to change clothes in the cold. The Room was spacious and came with a ReFa hair dryer. Guests staying on the top floor can also borrow a ReFa hair iron at the front desk, which was a wonderful service. We also went to the large public bath, and this one is an Onsen—warm and soothing for a long time! Dinner was delicious across the board, and there was plenty of food, so we were completely full and very satisfied! The spiny lobster sashimi platter was especially impressive. Breakfast was great too—the dried fish was very tasty and went perfectly with rice! The attendants spoke to us in a friendly way, and everyone was kind, which made us very happy. If you drink alcohol: you can order it at dinner, but for drinking in your Room you’ll need to buy from the shop inside the property. The selection is limited, so I recommend buying what you want at a convenience store beforehand and bringing it with you. There’s only tea that you make yourself in the Room, so I think it would have been even better if bottled water had been provided. It’s a Ryokan we’d love to visit again as a family. I visit Miyako Island every year, but I never realized there was such a beautiful villa on Ikema Island. As shown in the images on IKYU's "Accommodation Introduction," the red-tiled roof and white walls of the building stood out beautifully against the blue sky and sea. The exterior alone was breathtaking, but the ocean view from the room was stunning as well. The private pool seemed to be one of the largest on Miyako Island, spacious and deep enough for adults to swim comfortably, with crystal-clear water that was incredibly clean. While some furnishings in the building and room felt slightly aged, they added charm and made for a comfortable stay. The staff were all cheerful and friendly, making it a very pleasant experience overall. Next time, I hope to visit during a warmer season when the water temperature is more comfortable. Clean and Beautiful Beach House The spacious pool was incredibly refreshing, and the bath was absolutely amazing. Equipped with modern appliances like a drum washing machine, Balmuda toaster, and Healsio oven, ensuring a comfortable stay. Kids will love the toy kitchen and tunnel for endless fun. We’ll definitely come back again!

We arrived late at night but were warmly welcomed. The room was barrier-free, very spacious, and comfortable. We could enjoy the Onsen until 11 PM, which allowed us to relax and unwind. Thank you very much!
