There was a spacious dog run with a full lawn and plenty of plants, so the dog never got bored and stayed outside all night and early morning. The room and amenities were stylishly arranged, and everything was clean and comfortable. Just one point, the west sun was intense, and I wished there was a screen on the upper window. Thinking the BBQ space would be hot, I brought a tarp, which turned out to be a great decision, but looking at the photos, it might have been there in the first place.

I stayed for 3 nights in Room 102 of this accommodation during my first visit to Miyako Island. The view right in front of me as I entered the room was breathtaking. The room was very clean and fully equipped, allowing me to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. The staff promptly replenished drinks in the refrigerator and provided plenty of towels, all with kindness and warm smiles. I didn’t realize there was ice available and ended up buying some—wish I had asked! (laughs) The private beach right in front is also a great attraction; I went there every day. Oh, a stray cat came by to visit! It was adorable, but I refrained from feeding or touching it and just watched over it since it could become an issue if it decided to stay around. There weren’t many downsides, but the smell in the bathroom and bedroom bothered me slightly—it was somewhat fishy or moldy. Perhaps adding some aromatherapy would help improve this aspect. We stayed here as a family. The exterior and interior were stylish, and it was very comfortable. We had two 1-year-old children who enjoyed running around. The location was excellent, with the beach just a short walk away. We also used the grill for a BBQ. It was nice that plastic wrap and aluminum foil were provided, but when we went to use the aluminum foil, it was empty. Other than that, we were very satisfied with our stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

Used for Biwaichi. The smell of the futon (like an old man?) and stains on the sheets were very noticeable. The owner was very friendly and kind. The Room had a retro feel with a stunning lake view! It was so wonderful overall, but the bedding issue was quite disappointing.

In the villa-type facility with a pool, the satisfaction level is quite high compared to others. The pool is heated even in late November, so it was warm to use, but it felt cold when getting out due to the strong wind. The room's facilities are also well-equipped. The kitchen is easy to use, and it was a pleasant service to have coffee beans provided. This time, we used a room with a rooftop terrace, and the view was good. If the temperature were a bit higher, stargazing at night would be nice. I would like to stay again next time.

It was very beautiful and nice. Drinks were complimentary, and the amenities were plentiful. It was my first time doing self-check-in, so it took a little effort, but I would definitely use it again when I visit Kochi.

I stayed with my brother's family. The Room had two bedrooms and one tatami room, and one of the tatami rooms and bedrooms was a connecting room separated by a door, so we could watch over the children sleeping alone with peace of mind. Additionally, there was a jacuzzi on the terrace, and although we used it on the coldest day in December, the children were having a great time with maximum excitement (laughs). The living room on the second floor was spacious, and even with eight people, it didn't feel cramped, allowing us to have an enjoyable time. Also, it was convenient to have bathrooms and toilets on both the first and second floors. Personally, the most helpful feature was having a washing machine and dryer. The gas dryer, in particular, was very convenient as it allowed us to quickly take care of the children's clothes without taking much time. Basic appliances were provided, but since there were no pajamas, it might be a good idea to bring your own (as indicated on the site). The surroundings were quite empty, and although it was along the road, we were able to spend our time relatively quietly, allowing the adults to relax while the children had a great time playing on the terrace and in the spacious living room. My brother's family also expressed their gratitude, so I was glad we stayed. Since it can accommodate a large group, I would like to use it again if the opportunity arises.

Clean and Beautiful Beach House The spacious pool was incredibly refreshing, and the bath was absolutely amazing. Equipped with modern appliances like a drum washing machine, Balmuda toaster, and Healsio oven, ensuring a comfortable stay. Kids will love the toy kitchen and tunnel for endless fun. We’ll definitely come back again!

Having in-house loungewear and being able to go to breakfast in it is the best. I wondered about the amenities, but they’re about average. One bath towel and one face towel are provided, so if you bathe multiple times you’ll need to reuse them. The Room I used this time didn’t have a bath, which I overlooked. The large public bath is open until 11:00 PM, so I couldn’t make it… I used it in the morning instead, and the daylight outside felt great—I could also enjoy a relaxed view of the sea. The water temperature was just right, neither too hot nor too lukewarm. There is no sauna. The Room had an ocean view and was spacious, with super fluffy bed and pillows. The sink water pressure is weak, but it runs pleasantly warm water; even on a very cold day, brushing my teeth and washing my face felt comfortable. It was a nice, relaxing Room. It made me want to do a Multiple Night Stay. The service was also very good. At the breakfast venue there was plenty of space between guests, which felt considerate, and they said they will open the shop as long as it’s not late at night. I’d like to visit again.

About 15 breakfast dishes, a drink bar, and unlimited refills of Tsuyahime rice and miso soup. Extremely satisfying.

The other day, I had my annual “crab day” at Genmyoan again. This time they prepared Taiza crab for me, and I was able to enjoy it. It was three hours of satisfaction—satisfied, satisfied, truly satisfied. They do not serve hot pot dishes like “crab suki” here, and I agree that turning such great crab into a hot pot would be a waste. That is exactly why I keep choosing Genmyoan. They said it snowed quite a bit this year, but on my visit there was only a little snow left along the roadside. Genmyoan sits halfway up the mountain, and I believe it may be the only place with this kind of view looking down over Amanohashidate. The location is outstanding. As shown in the photos, being able to enjoy scenery that changes with time from your Room is very appealing. On the other hand, when it snows heavily, driving up the mountain road can be difficult. When I asked the proprietress this time, she told me that during severe snow they will come to pick guests up at Amanohashidate Station with rubber boots in the car. Being able to change into them at the station would be reassuring. (They provide Shuttle Service to the Accommodation regardless of snow.) Also, once you are past 70—even if it’s a once-a-year indulgent crab day—you may worry about not being able to finish everything. It seems they can adjust portions if you request in advance. If they can reduce the amount without compromising quality, you can keep enjoying it at any age. Because this relates to IKYU’s website meal listings and pricing, I do wonder how flexible such arrangements can be—but I would appreciate continued consideration for guests’ convenience. Lastly, their breakfast is also delicious: even when you feel you ate too much crab dinner-wise, you still end up overeating at breakfast. The Onsen has been refurbished and is clean. There is a tasting corner for chilled sake (you can sample and choose before dinner), and there is now a coffee room as well. There is also a room lined with CDs/DVDs/books from the owner’s personal collection; you can bring them back to your Room and enjoy them there. It feels like an Accommodation where each guest can find their own way to relax and have fun.

I visited with my 85-year-old mother, my sister's family, and our dog. The location was simply amazing, offering a unique accommodation experience with a 180° panoramic view of the mountains and ever-changing skies. The sunrise and sunset were particularly breathtaking. In the evening, we enjoyed French cuisine prepared by a private chef recommended to us—it was restaurant-quality comparable to top establishments in Tokyo, leaving us deeply impressed. Since I was traveling with my elderly mother, we cooked breakfast in the kitchen. As someone who loves tableware, I checked out the dishes and found they were all from wonderful brands. The furnishings were chic and comfortable as well. The cosmetics provided were from POLA's BA line, which I adore! The beds were incredibly comfortable too; even my mother slept soundly through the night. Our dogs happily ran around freely in the spacious garden—it was heartwarming to see them so joyful. My mother expressed her desire to visit again, so next time we plan to come during spring when the garden is at its best!

For this price, the quality is excellent—great value for money. The room was spacious enough and had a terrace, which was very relaxing. With the window open, you can hear the sound of the waves—it’s soothing. When turning in from the main road, the lane is narrow, so drivers should be careful. The Hotel is tucked away further in. It’s a small, quiet Hotel that I highly recommend. It may look like there’s nothing around, but if you walk a bit you’ll find great izakayas and yakiniku restaurants nearby, so we were very satisfied. I’d love to stay at this Hotel again.

I stayed during the winter season. The bath, meals, and room were all excellent. I would love to stay again.

Although we were given a spacious top-floor Room, it was very disappointing that the open-air bath we had been looking forward to was closed for the winter season. It seems it is closed throughout February, but we would have liked it to be opened flexibly depending on the weather. As for the meals, we ordered the branded crab course, but were disappointed to find it was frozen crab. The Room itself was spacious and nice, but the toilet was small and the sink was located separately, which was inconvenient.

No Meals Included, but the service was very kind. Shuttle buses were available to various tourist spots, which showed how many guests they had.

Dinner was luxurious with sea urchin and crab. The Onsen and Room were clean and beautiful. The location is excellent, right next to Cape Peshi, just a few minutes by car to Sunset Hill Observatory, where we went to see the sunset after dinner. The ferry terminal for traveling to Rebun the next morning was also conveniently close.
