Ryotei Ryokan Hitomaru Kadan

This was my third stay.I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in this area.Even though I was scheduled to arrive late and ended up arriving much later than that, every member of the staff provided pleasant service until the very end without showing the slightest displeasure, and I have nothing but gratitude.The meals were as beautiful as they were delicious—truly worthy of a fine dining Ryokan—and absolutely outstanding.The baths may not be like those in famous Onsen resorts, but the open-air bath in particular was wonderful, with a fully wooden tub all the way to the bottom, and I was able to relax and soak at ease.I’m not exactly an ideal guest, but whenever I come back to this area, I would love to stay here again.Thank you very much.

I found this Ryokan while looking for a nearby place to stay where there wasn’t any snow. The price was reasonable, and the food was delicious. Dinner was served in the Room, and although I’ve stayed at several Ryokan in this price range, the meals here were the best. Breakfast wasn’t served in the Room, but I was able to eat quietly on my own. The seasoned nori paste was especially good! They sold it as a souvenir, so I wish I had bought some… The bath was clean, and I also liked that towels were available as much as you needed. However, since morning bathing started at 7:00 a.m., it felt a little late. Maybe the walls are thin—I could clearly hear other guests and staff talking, which bothered me a bit (lol). I bought salted octopus as a souvenir, and it’s really delicious! If you’re not staying for the view, I highly recommend it! Personally, I’d like to stay again.
