The staff were wonderful. I have stayed at many Hotels, and this was among the very best in terms of service. The night before our stay, my travel companion (my mother in her 70s) told me she had hurt her foot. I called the Hotel on the morning of our stay just in case, and fortunately they had a wheelchair available and were able to lend it to us. Thanks to that, she was able to fully enjoy Huis Ten Bosch, and we were also able to return on the guest-only Canal Cruiser, which made things much easier for the person pushing the wheelchair as well. The view from our Room was great, and both night and morning felt truly special. Thank you very much.

I first visited Miyahama Onsen 30 years ago for a year-end party with colleagues. The Onsen and the scenery were so wonderful that I kept thinking, “I want to go again someday!” Ever since then, 30 years have passed—and my wish finally came true when I had the chance to visit Miyahama Onsen with my son and his wife. Without hesitation, we chose IBUKU. The Room, baths, hospitality, and meals were all outstanding. At checkout, the staff kindly shared recommendations for popular spots on Miyajima as well, making it a truly enjoyable and fulfilling trip. I chose this Accommodation because of the 24-hour all-you-can-drink alcohol service. There was one type each of beer and wine (red and white), but I was surprised to find as many as 12 kinds of local Miyagi sake (junmai). (There were also several kinds of shochu and sours.) The snacks served at 4:00 PM were also very satisfying, with about eight options ranging from standard items like edamame and nuts to more elaborate selections. Breakfast was satisfying in both quality and quantity. The Room had no issues at all, though the bathroom was a bit small, which was the only minor drawback.

The front desk staff and the pool & bar staff were all friendly, kind, and pleasant. Thank you very much. The Room was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The pajamas were a separate (two-piece) type, and there was also a bathrobe. The bathrobe was convenient for going to the pool—you can change into your swimsuit in the Room and throw it on before heading out. There are many convenience stores and restaurants near the Hotel. Kokusai-dori is a bit of a walk away, but still within walking distance. We were able to relax and enjoy awamori and Orion beer in the lounge as well. It was February, but we could still use the night pool. The wind was cold so we couldn’t stay in for long, but it was a wonderful experience and we had a great time. The pool & bar staff spoke to us kindly and were very considerate, which made us happy—thank you again for everything. We would definitely like to stay again.

This was our second stay, and it was truly wonderful again. The service was excellent, and everything—from the open-air bath to the meals—was perfect. We would love to return again next year.

The staff provide courteous and kind service. The bath and in-room amenities are well stocked. As it was midwinter, a warming gel pack had been placed inside the bedding, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of a cozy, warm futon. The Room air conditioner kept us plenty warm, and a fan heater was also provided as a backup to further heat the room if needed. The meals were excellent in both taste and portion size. We were able to fully enjoy spiny lobster until we were completely satisfied. Overall, it is a wonderful Accommodation with an elegant atmosphere.

This Accommodation is right in front of Lake Suwa, and the building is filled with cherry blossom motifs that made us feel the spirit of spring. We could also see Lake Suwa from our Room, and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. Both the Room and the facilities were very clean and well maintained. The bath had tatami flooring, which felt wonderful, and the Onsen was excellent. The meals in particular featured a seasonal menu, beautifully presented on lovely Kutani ware dishes, so we enjoyed them even before taking a bite. Of course, everything tasted amazing as well. Every dish respected the natural flavors of the ingredients, allowing us to fully savor spring. There was also a wide selection of alcohol, and we were happy to discover some rare varieties. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

This was our fourth visit in four years (I think?), and each time we’re able to relive the excitement we felt on our very first stay—thanks to everyone’s heartfelt hospitality. We truly felt your wish for guests to relax in comfort and enjoy delicious food (the perfectly hot, exquisite dashi soup bowl, in particular—and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding). This time, I also read one of the books in the Room, which helped me learn more about Esashi’s history, how Tabiniwa Gunrai came to be, and the owner’s thoughts. It made me understand even more clearly why staying here moves us so deeply. On our way home, we stopped by Kamome Island and saw the crystal-clear water full of fish (I took photos, but what kind of fish are they?), the rocks from the Orii legend, traces of Kitamaebune moorings, and remnants of banquet sites at Senjojiki. Having read about them beforehand made it even more fascinating. Esashi really has so much to see. From Hakodate it’s a bit of a detour, but we recommend taking the coastal route while hopping between roadside stations—stopping along the way at Cape Shirakami at Hokkaido’s southernmost tip (spectacular views) and Matsumae Castle—then heading on to Esashi and Tabiniwa Gunrai. This is an Accommodation we’d love to visit again and again!

We were able to use the parking lot before check-in, which allowed us to take our time exploring the Namba area. The Room was clean, and we were very satisfied with the great night view from the window. For dinner, we had okonomiyaki and other dishes in Namba Walk, then picked up some late-night snacks at Life supermarket. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

As a treat for myself, I stayed at my beloved Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo. Spending a relaxing Hotel stay while taking in views that felt like a heavenly sanctuary was the perfect way to refresh. In the room, they had prepared a fruit plate with a message, Mandarin Oriental blend tea, and cereal cookies. Together with the chocolates I received at check-in, I savored each one carefully. For both dinner and breakfast, I used in-room dining and was able to enjoy my meal and drinks at a leisurely pace. Wanting to enjoy Valentine’s cake and chocolates with my drinks, I bought a heart-shaped cheesecake and heart-shaped chocolates from the gourmet shop on the first floor—it made for such a happy night. In the morning, I chose the Japanese set breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful tableware and the many carefully prepared dishes. The “Thank you always” message fruit plate became a wonderful memory—I took lots of photos after my meal. I also got to enjoy my favorite spa twice: once at night with sparkling city views, and again early in the morning at sunrise. I was also able to unwind in the in-room bathtub with hinoki bath salts. During magic hour at dusk and dawn—and while admiring the glittering night view—I felt truly grateful to be alive, filled with happiness and abundance. Thanks to all of your staff who supported me throughout my stay, it became an unforgettable 2-day/1-night experience right up until the very end. Thank you so much for an exceptionally happy Hotel stay where I could spend such precious time!

I was a bit unsure about the buffet-style meals, but they were excellent—freshly made sushi prepared to order and steaks grilled on the spot. The sushi had thick toppings with a smaller amount of rice, and it was truly delicious. The bath was also clean. I wanted to watch the sunrise in the morning, but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. Before departure, I was able to enjoy coffee in the lounge as well, which made for a very relaxing and elegant stay.

The sauna was excellent, and the dinner not only offered delicious food but also warm hospitality from the staff. Watching the sunset, gazing at the starry sky, and soaking in the morning sun while sitting outside allowed me to truly unwind. The breakfast was also very satisfying
