Thank you again. No matter what season I visit, I’m always pleasantly surprised by the delicious food every time. This time, to my delight, the place was reserved just for us, so I could enjoy the bath whenever I liked—and it was fun having Madame all to myself. I was thrilled to finally have the white asparagus and tomatoes I’d been craving, along with wonderful fish—everything was completely satisfying. I also love WATANABE’s morning soup and fruit! I’m excited every time to see what will be served. Taking home the leftover bread means the enjoyment continues at home. Thank you as always. I’ll be back again.

Because it was so wonderful last time, we stayed again as a couple this time. We were truly impressed by your thoughtful care, such as changing the sashimi to fried horse mackerel Tatsuta-age for my wife, who doesn’t like raw fish. (I forgot to take a photo.) Meanwhile, as before, you upgraded my sashimi, and the exceptionally fresh seafood from Izu was outstandingly delicious. With the authentic bodywork treatment, the private Onsen, and your warm hospitality that caters to each guest personally, we both felt deeply healed. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We look forward to seeing you again next month.

It was a wonderful villa. Mount Fuji was right in front of us, and we could see it clearly thanks to the great weather! The meals were all delicious, and we were very satisfied! We brought our dog along, and they had so much fun playing around. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

The Accommodation itself was wonderful, but what stayed with me even more was the owner’s story of reviving a soy sauce brewery with over 300 years of history. Through soy sauce, my imagination naturally expanded to the lives and feelings of people long ago, and I was quietly moved by the continuity of human life across generations. Combined with Nara’s atmosphere—like touching the source of history—and the sense that prayer is woven into everyday life, I was able to spend time here that can only be found in this place. I highly recommend joining the soy sauce pressing experience and the visit to Muraya Shrine the next morning. Every dish was prepared in a way that let us enjoy soy sauce and moromi through carefully chosen ingredients and cooking methods, and the portions were just right—everything was excellent. Away from everyday noise, I spent time that gently eased both body and mind. Thank you very much.

We stayed with our pet. Last time we had the Awaji beef steak course, but this time we chose the Italian course. It was generous in portion and very delicious. Personally, the Bolognese pasta was especially good. The whitebait & Genovese pizza was also delicious. We were able to take any leftovers back to our Room. Because it was a clear day, we were also able to see a wonderful sunset that has been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Sunsets. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and delicious food, and had an amazing time with our pet. We would like to visit again in autumn.

We found and booked a small Accommodation. We were able to fully enjoy the long-awaited Onsen at a relaxed pace without it feeling crowded, and it was a nice touch that each person could choose their own hot pot dinner from four options. Everything was delicious, but for someone in their 50s the portions were a bit large, and sadly I couldn’t finish even the rice balls the hostess made. Breakfast was also plentiful and made me feel happy from the morning. With a great Onsen and pleasant hospitality, we had an enjoyable holiday weekend.

A vast sea stretching out before you, the solitary “Abuga Island,” the Tateyama Mountain Range—and sky, sky, sky. Cuisine that is truly delicious and gently comforting. An array of exquisite dishes served on both inherited vessels passed down through generations and striking modern tableware—freshly opened-season white shrimp and firefly squid at their best this time of year. And wonderful sake—especially local selections from Himi and Takaoka with spot-on commentary. With cups and tokkuri chosen to match each label, the sake’s flavors were brought out beautifully, making the food even more enjoyable. A special experience found only here—graceful time—and while keeping the three elements of “cuisine, scenery, and hospitality” just as they are: please continue to take good care of your health—the young fourth-generation owner and the two ladies who work together in perfect harmony—and keep sharing Himi’s flavors in such a lovely setting. I’m already looking forward to visiting again from Tokyo in winter. Thank you very much.

We chose this place because of the great Reviews, and it was a wonderful lodge just as described. We stayed to celebrate our dog’s birthday, and we were truly touched that a handmade dog cake had been prepared! The private dog run was also excellent—there was no mud even after the rain, and the ground felt thick and high quality. Being able to sleep together with our dog was another big plus. The interior was clean, and the Facility amenities were well equipped, making it a flawless stay. It became a great memory for both our dog and my son who traveled with us. At checkout, we were given handmade treats for our dog as well—an outstanding level of hospitality.

I usually stay here on solo trips, but this time I stayed in the pet-friendly building with my parents. They were happy that they didn’t have to climb steep stairs, and that meals could be served in the Room so they didn’t have to worry about being considerate of others. As always, we were very satisfied with the dishes, especially the fresh seafood. Having a shower booth is another great perk of the pet-friendly building—you can even wash your hair in the morning. I will definitely visit again, and I’d like to bring my parents back while they’re still healthy enough to travel.

Despite making a same-day Reservation, we were warmly welcomed and expertly assisted from pickup through check-in and guidance—an atmosphere truly filled with hospitality. The Facility was breathtaking as well: the stunning valley views and sounds, the Room and Onsen to enjoy them, and the meals—everything exceeded our expectations. During this cherry blossom season, you even suggested a morning weeping cherry blossom tour at dinner, and we had a far better time than if we had planned it ourselves. It was such a relaxing stay that it made us want to work hard every day so we can come back again. Thank you very much.

This was my third visit yesterday. The Onsen is wonderfully gentle on the skin and absolutely satisfying, but the meals and wine at the restaurant were, as always, outstanding. There were many dishes you can’t experience elsewhere—like lightly searing fish stuffed with olives yourself right at the table. With freshly baked bread, it was hard not to keep enjoying more wine. An Accommodation where you can savor such delicious cuisine with your dog and also fully enjoy the Onsen—I’d love to stay again. Thank you for your continued hospitality.

We stayed in the Forest View Semi-Open-Air Onsen Suite under the “Setouchi Retreat Aonagi 10th Anniversary Plan.” After touring Matsuyama, we chose it at my wife’s request as a base for heading to the Shimanami Kaido—and it exceeded our expectations. The building was originally designed by Tadao Ando as an art museum and guesthouse for Daio Paper (Eliere Square Matsuyama), and has been renovated and operated as a Hotel for the past 10 years. With its exceptionally luxurious museum-like design, and with artworks still displayed throughout, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary escape in a serene space with attentive service. Although nearly 30 years have passed since its completion in 1998, Ando’s signature exposed concrete has been beautifully maintained. The way the spaces are carved creates exquisite compositions of light, and you can truly feel the architect’s intent. We visited Ando’s “Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum” before coming here, but this was moving on an entirely different level. The Room layout—one Room per floor—was spacious, with a full glass wall on one side that created an open, seamless connection to the outdoors. The semi-open-air bath also includes a reclining bath area, allowing you to warm up from the core. Including the shared spaces reserved exclusively for just seven groups per day, I don’t know of another Hotel that feels this luxurious while offering such outstanding value. The private pool included as a perk was also a lavish experience; however, I found the sauna temperature too low to work up enough sweat, which was slightly disappointing. Dinner was creative Japanese cuisine from the 10th Anniversary Plan and everything was delicious, but I was especially impressed by the “steamed abalone sesame tofu” served after the main course. There are many great dishes in life, but few make you want to come back just to eat them again—this sesame tofu did. Its texture and perfect pairing with the sesame sauce made me feel it would be worth even a five-hour trip just for that one dish. Breakfast also showed careful craftsmanship in every item. My thanks to the chef. Finally, all staff were wonderful as well—it made for an excellent stay. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a family of four with my parents and our 2-year-old toy poodle. The room was convenient and allowed us to enjoy a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and made our experience pleasant. Additionally, there was a walking path right next to the hotel, which was very convenient! It was an accommodation we would love to visit again.

Despite the reasonable price, it was a truly wonderful Hotel and we were extremely satisfied! The Room was spotlessly cleaned, and the bath and toilet were separate, so we could relax in the tub and ease our fatigue. The pet amenities were also exceptionally well provided. At night, we really enjoyed a delicious T-bone steak at the steakhouse on the same property. We also heard that the dog meals use the same meat. At breakfast, they even took a commemorative photo for us, which became a great memory. The staff were kind to our dog as well, and we had a very comfortable stay. We will definitely stay again without hesitation, and it’s a Hotel I’d love to recommend to friends!

The hospitality, especially the care for dogs, was delightful. The meals were very delicious, but the portions were a bit small. The atmosphere of the building and the Facility were great, but it was disappointing that yukata (pajamas) were not provided.

Not only was the Room wonderful, but the host was truly kind. Even though I contacted them just two days in advance to plan a surprise celebration for my companion, they prepared a message plate and even decorated the Room for us. I’d love to stay again.

We stayed with a young child, and we were warmly welcomed, making our stay comfortable and truly memorable. Thanks to being seated in a private dining room, we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Even after returning home, we still find ourselves thinking about those dishes and wanting to have them again. We were also deeply impressed by the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail. Next time, we would love to book a Multiple Night Stay.

Among all the Accommodations I have stayed at, the cuisine here was easily one of the best. In a Room filled with jazz, a variety of beautifully presented dishes served on lovely tableware—every single one was exquisite. Truly wonderful. Of course, the hospitality of all the staff, the Room, and the Onsen were also very pleasant. I would definitely love to visit again.

We had a great time relaxing in the sauna and the open-air bath with a jacuzzi! We took the train from Tokyo to stay at UMICHA, and enjoyed the 30-minute walk from Kazusa-Ichinomiya Station to UMICHA while taking in the rural scenery and picking up supplies—it went by in no time, and it was an experience you can’t usually have even within the greater Tokyo area. In the evening, we unwound with a BBQ and sauna, which washed away all our everyday fatigue. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance!

The Onsen was free-flowing, and I appreciated being able to bathe even at night. The meals were delicious, and during our Multiple Night Stay, I was delighted by the carefully planned breakfast on the second morning as well. The dishes featured seafood mainly from Mutsu Bay, which felt refreshingly new and fresh to me. The grilled scallops in their shells and the sashimi were especially excellent. Next time, I would like to stay in winter so I can try Oma tuna.
