Yokokawa Station (Gunma Prefecture) × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

Our annual Karuizawa family trip with our dog is becoming a tradition, and this time my daughter recommended GRAMDAY STYLE SUITE Yamanofumoto. Everyone was very kind to our dog, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The location was also great—close to golf courses and the outlet mall, making it easy to get around. Most of all, my husband was delighted. We really enjoyed the BBQ, and the in-Room meals were delicious. Our daughter and her husband will be moving to the U.S. this summer, but we would love to stay here again when they return to Japan. Thank you very much.

This time we stayed for one night, so we couldn’t relax as much as on a Multiple Night Stay, but the Onsen was still amazing. We enjoyed lunch right after arriving, and dinner was delicious with a double main course. We’d love to visit again and take our time next time. We were also happy with the Diamond benefits. This was my second stay (the first time was at Christmas with my husband in the Atagokan building with an Onsen). This time, I stayed with my sister in the Usui-kan building, in a Room with a terrace. That day, Karuizawa was wrapped in mist and felt truly magical. Even the rain made the fresh greenery shine, and the sound of raindrops falling felt like art—it lifted my spirits. The Room was spacious and wonderful, and having a terrace was lovely. The fresh greenery visible from the Room was stunning—pure happiness. I was able to relax slowly with my sister. It was amazing. The amenities also had an elegant fragrance that put me in the best mood. However, it was a shame that there were only dead branches on the terrace. Thank you so much for fulfilling our various requests. Thank you as well to all of the staff for your kindness. I would love to visit again. It felt like two dreamlike days—I already miss Manpei Hotel.

This was my first stay here. The location is excellent, and the staff, Room size and layout, amenities, and the fact that we could be with our dog everywhere except the indoor baths made our Multiple Night Stay extremely comfortable. What I especially loved was a sign in the Room with a cute illustration of a dog saying, “Sorry, housekeeping—I slipped out!” It made me feel at ease and truly able to relax in the Room. Everywhere else we’ve stayed with our dog always has a sign saying there will be an additional cleaning fee, so I was really touched by the warmth here. I would definitely like to stay again next time.

Last time I stayed solo after work and found it very comfortable and easy to relax, so this time I stayed with my family during spring break. No matter when we visit, everything is wonderful—the calm atmosphere, the well-stocked shop, the Onsen, the Room, and the meals. The staff’s understated hospitality and kindness are even better than at luxury Hotels in central Tokyo. It makes me want to stay again and again. Also, breakfast offers a wide variety of options you’d want to eat every morning, with plenty of healthy choices; my favorite is the curry. My family liked the curry best as well. Since my child is taking entrance exams this year, they were able to study comfortably and efficiently after breakfast—enjoying the pool, Onsen, and coffee in the lounge too. We will visit again as a family this summer.

I arrived early and they kindly stored my luggage, and from that moment until I left, the warm and welcoming service truly touched me. The French-style Room was charming and tastefully decorated, so it’s easy to see why the Reviews are so highly rated. And the breakfast served in the Room was absolutely delicious—I was thrilled! Everything was carefully prepared, and I especially remember the oval potatoes that were hollow inside. The potage soup and salad were also excellent. I would love to stay at Primavera again for a truly relaxing getaway.

We stayed to celebrate a birthday. The female staff member who assisted us at check-in, the female staff member who carried our luggage to our Room, and the male staff member who carried our luggage from the car were all kind and courteous—thank you very much. Breakfast was also very delicious. We would love to stay again for another special occasion.

We arrived with high expectations, and the outstanding quality exceeded them—our whole family was completely satisfied. From the Shuttle Service to check-in guidance, the Room, the cleanliness of the Facility, and the service in the dining area (including generous portions), everything felt fresh as you would expect from a new Hotel. Every aspect was comfortable and exceptionally well balanced. We are truly grateful to everyone involved with this Hotel for making our stay so wonderful. Thank you very much.

A two-day trip to Karuizawa with the sole purpose of simply relaxing. The Room was spacious, and the surroundings were quiet, so we were able to unwind in peace. After a bit of sightseeing, we quickly returned to the Hotel, took a bath in the Room at 2:00 PM, and used the large public bath in the evening. On the second day, we used the large public bath from 3:00 PM. Both times no one else was there, so it felt like a private bath—such a luxury. There was also a free-flow sparkling wine service, and having it after bathing was amazing. While there, I had a chance to chat with one of your female staff members. That became my best memory from Karuizawa. I hoped I might see her at check-out, and I was so happy she was there. Sorry for talking for so long. Thank you very much for everything.

I had been interested in this place for some time, so this was my first stay. The Room was clean, and above all, I loved the view from the Room. We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and everything was delicious. While it may vary depending on the time, perhaps because many of the guests were older, we were able to relax in a calm atmosphere. Overall, I think this is a Hotel where you can enjoy a very fulfilling stay with great meals, Accommodation, and an Onsen. I also heard that you have your own golf course, so I’d like to come back someday for a plan that combines both Accommodation and golf.

This was our first stay. Our Room was on the second floor, so we had to use the stairs, which was a bit difficult for our small dog—this was the only downside. The Room was clean, and our dog happily walked around. The bathroom was also kept very clean, so we were satisfied. We ordered breakfast only. It was more filling than expected and very tasty. A dog cart was prepared at the table, which was very helpful.

The Facility was overall clean and well-maintained, which was great. The lounge had a variety of books, offering a refreshing experience. Free drinks and snacks were available, allowing guests to relax by the authentic fireplace while enjoying refreshments—a truly relaxing time after a long while. Regarding the bath, the shower pressure felt slightly weak. As for the toilet, the automatic lid opening feature was convenient; however, it would open and close on its own when standing near the sink, which was slightly unsettling. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Accommodation in Karuizawa is very expensive, so we chose this Hotel. Since it’s an older Hotel, we didn’t expect much in terms of cleanliness, but it was quite clean and we were very satisfied. The bath area is very spacious and clean, with a sauna and an open-air bath as well. Even when there are many guests, it doesn’t feel crowded. There are always staff at the front desk, and they respond right away! Also, in addition to pajamas, you can wear the provided loungewear anywhere inside the building, so you can pack lighter. For breakfast we wanted something a bit more luxurious, so we went to The Prince for their morning buffet. A free shuttle bus is available, and the staff kindly explained everything to us, so boarding was smooth. It was a wonderful Hotel where we could relax in style from check-in to check-out!

Since having children, we’ve been using Vacation Rentals more often, and this one impressed us by far with its exceptional quality and feel. It was on a level that recent Hotel suites simply can’t match. I love interior design, so it was also inspiring to see the styling and coordination. Even the cutlery was Cutipol, and the in-room skincare amenities (their own brand?) were excellent as well. No complaints at all. If I had to mention one thing, I thought the complimentary drinks could feel a bit more local to better match the high standard of the Facility. Thank you for having us.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay in a kitchen suite. Just a few minutes’ walk to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza. Perhaps because Suwa Shrine is right next door, it’s quiet, and when you open the window, the only sound is pleasant birdsong. The staff keep a comfortable distance—not too close, not too far—and even when going out, you don’t need to leave your Room key at the front desk, so you can relax as if you were at home. Having a private family bath is also a must! Since we chose a Plan with no breakfast or dinner, the price was relatively reasonable. With a kitchen included, we enjoyed shopping at the supermarket and making full use of the oven and microwave. We use this Hotel 4–5 times a year, and thanks to its location, pricing, and overall comfort... it’s an essential base for enjoying sightseeing, shopping, and leisure every time we visit each year.

We chose a one-night, two-day Plan with an Italian dinner included. Since we have growing children with big appetites, we also ordered à la carte dishes, and everything was delicious. We also booked a massage at the spa, and it was very skillful—so much so that we’d go regularly if we lived nearby.

We stayed at Karuizawa Prince Hotel East, where we used to come skiing when our children were little, to celebrate our daughter’s university acceptance. The atmosphere was unchanged and full of nostalgia. We were satisfied with everything—the staff’s service, the Onsen, and the meals. We made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

Mount Myogi rose like a folding screen, and the scenery was spectacular! The Hotel was clean, and the Onsen had great water. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn’t food I’d want to eat again... There are many sightseeing spots nearby, so we were able to stop by various places and had a very fulfilling trip.

I have stayed at many Accommodations over the years, but this is the first time I have ever been so deeply moved by an Accommodation. When I called before my stay to ask about something, the accommodation manager responded with great care. From that conversation and the follow-up email, I could truly feel their heartfelt hospitality, and it reminded me of what service is really all about. I was so impressed that, for the first time ever, I brought a boxed assortment of sweets at check-in and said, “Please enjoy these together.” And that feeling continued after check-in as well. The thoughtfulness we received was something you rarely experience even at a luxury Hotel—I was nearly brought to tears. I don’t usually write Reviews, but I wanted to express my gratitude once again. The Room was extremely comfortable, and perhaps thanks to the Active Sleep feature, my sleep score on the app was an excellent 98. Thanks to you, our stay in Karuizawa became even more wonderful. The parking area was also easy to use, and being able to charge our plug-in vehicle was very convenient. The hot dog included in our Plan was also delicious. We would love to visit again. I wasn’t feeling well and wasn’t sure what to do, but the staff responded flexibly and kindly, and in the end it turned into a very enjoyable trip. I was able to make wonderful memories with my daughter, who will be starting her first job in April. Thank you very much!
