The exterior reflects the rugged natural setting along the coastline, so I wasn’t sure at first—but once inside, it was a very clean and beautiful Hotel. A vacuum-tube amplifier and DIATONE speakers create a wonderfully niche audio setup that plays pleasant music. At night they light the fireplace with firewood, so you can relax and listen to music. I wish there were a welcome bar. (There is a drink bar.) The Onsen had great water that left me feeling warm and cozy. Dinner was partly buffet-style. There was also an Ishiyaki hot pot show, which was fun. All of the staff were welcoming and kind, and I was able to truly unwind. This isn’t related to the Hotel, but I wanted to see Namahage drumming with an evening Shuttle Service bus—however, it seems to be held mostly on weekends. Since there appear to be several groups, I hope it will be available every day.

The Onsen was wonderfully warming with free-flowing natural hot spring water. The food was delicious, and the Akita Nishiki beef at dinner was outstanding. The simmered sea bream head was also well-seasoned, and we were very satisfied.

The meals and the service from the Hotel staff were excellent. The view from the panoramic bath on the 8th floor was wonderful, but because the windows could not be opened, it was very hot and humid inside. As an Onsen lover, I was disappointed that I couldn’t cool down and relax while enjoying the scenery.

This was our first time visiting Oga, and we stayed at Kiraraka. The spacious Room with a private bath was very clean, and our family of five (with three children) could stay comfortably and with peace of mind. We enjoyed a relaxing bath together in the in-room bath, and every meal we had at the dining venue with its wonderful views was delicious—both body and mind were refreshed, and we had a truly lovely time! We hope to come again around summer for our second son’s birthday. Thank you very much.
