Although it is a bit far from the station, shuttle buses run frequently, so it never felt inconvenient. I checked in quite late at night, but the staff were thoughtful in every way—from meals to luggage—so I was able to stay very comfortably. It truly felt like a long-established Hotel. I didn’t use the large public bath, but the Room bath uses separate hot and cold water controls, so adjusting the temperature may be a little tricky. Amenities are provided in generous pump bottles. The Room was spacious and relaxing, and there was also a balcony—spending time there was a lovely part of the stay. Above all, the view from the Room was stunning—like a Turner painting. The night cruise was wonderful, and listening to the cheerful captain-in-training was very informative—from how to take photos to stories about the origins of the deer. It was fascinating to hear how it differs from Kasuga Taisha and Kashima Jingu, and even that deer ride the ferry back to Miyajima. The cruise itself was excellent; as we approached the great torii gate, I could really feel its scale. The souvenir shop didn’t feel cluttered at all—you can enjoy choosing from both high-end items and more casual ones. A relative in Hiroshima told me, “It’s been a good Hotel for years,” and I’m truly glad I chose this place.

I booked at the last minute and only a Room with beds was available, but I was surprised to find that a larger Room was available on the day. Since the price was low, I didn’t have high expectations for the meals, but both dinner and breakfast were delicious and I was very satisfied. The front desk staff kindly explained various things, and I would like to stay again next time.

I visited Genjikoh in Minamichita for the first time to relax in the Onsen. From the warm welcome, we enjoyed chatting about a small connection we had in common, and both the delicious meals and kind service left me completely satisfied. The Onsen was wonderful not only for its water quality, but also for the beautiful view from the open-air bath, allowing me to truly unwind. Thank you very much. There was just one disappointing point. After dinner the previous evening, I was told that checkout might be crowded the next day and that it would be convenient to settle all payments that night, so I did. However, at checkout I was asked to pay again, and I had to present my Receipt myself. That left me feeling disappointed at the very end. Aside from that matter, my stay was truly comfortable. I first stayed here in January 2026, and this was my second visit. This time I returned in the season of fresh greenery, and along the several dozen meters from the accommodation building to the separate Onsen building, white citrus blossoms were in full bloom. I was able to enjoy their sweet fragrance while soaking in the Onsen. It’s wonderful that each season brings new discoveries. The meals were consistently high quality, and I was satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

I’d been curious about this place for a while, and this was my first stay. The atmosphere felt like a condominium in Hawaii or Australia. There’s no kitchen, but the space and layout have that kind of feel. It has underfloor heating, so it seems like it will be warm in the coming season as well. The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. Also, I logged into YouTube to watch something and forgot to log out.
