The Dog-Friendly Room has been renovated, and I stayed there for the second time. The room now has flooring, making it very hygienic. A lounge where you can relax with your dog has also been added, allowing you to enjoy coffee or tea together. The dog run remains excellent; previously there was only one area, but now it has increased to two areas. A two-meal plan is now available even for stays with dogs, and I enjoyed the delicious Asama dinner. The bean soup was particularly delightful. Both my dog and I had a wonderful time and were very satisfied!
犬太郎2023 10/31/2025It was peaceful and relaxing without the hustle and bustle of the city. Surrounded by greenery, the air was clean and refreshing. The temperature of the Onsen in the large public bath was just right. Since I bathed at night, I couldn't enjoy the view, but next time I would love to try it during daylight hours. The drive through lush greenery on both arrival and departure was truly pleasant. Additionally, the staff's service lived up to Prince Hotel's reputation—it was excellent!

From this Hotel on the Tsumagoi Highlands at an elevation of 1,100 meters, you can enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Asama and Mt. Moto-Shirane. A variety of room types are available to suit your stay, whether you are traveling as a couple, with friends, or with family. Dog-Friendly Room (38.7 m²), open from July 1, 2023. This room is exclusively for guests staying with dogs. Enjoy a relaxing holiday with your dog while taking in the lush greenery of the Tsumagoi Highlands.

75 minutes by local bus from Karuizawa Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, and 80 minutes by car from the Usui-Karuizawa IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Located in Tsumagoi Village, known as a sacred place for devoted husbands, it is close to “Aisai no Oka,” a sightseeing spot where visitors “shout,” and also makes an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as Karuizawa, Kusatsu Onsen (30 minutes by car), and Shiga Kogen.
